Botany 2010 Ticketed Events

The following society and group events require tickets. Tickets may be purchased in advance or on-site at the Registration area. Pre-paid event tickets will be included in the Registration packet, which will be distributed on-site. Please read the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Event venues will be announced on the tickets and in the Program Book. A limited number of tickets may be available for purchase at the Registration Desk on-site at the meeting, but availability is not guaranteed

Monday

Breakfast
TE-01 ABLS Breakfast

Come one, come all!! The ABLS breakfast is one of our major social events, so please attend and support your society's functions. This Monday morning event will be your first opportunity to see who is at the meetings and to make contacts with old friends and colleagues. 7:00 am to 8:30 am - $20.00

TE-02 Cornell Botanists and Friends Breakfast

The Cornell University Botany breakfast is open to all current and former students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends, who have had a connection to botany at Cornell. Please join us, renew old friendships, make new friends, and catch up with your colleagues activities. 7:00 am to 8:00 am $20.00

Luncheon
TE-03 American Fern Society Luncheon

The AFS Luncheon will be followed by the annual business meeting. Come join us and hear about the many activities sponsored by the American Fern Society.12:00 pm to 1:30 pm $30.00

TE-04 Student Involvement in Botany Luncheon

Gather with new and old friends for lunch and networking and learn how you can support Botany and what Botany can do for you!12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Student Price: $5.00

TE-A California Botanists Luncheon

Bring your lunch and get together with botanists from California (past or present) or with interests in California plants. We will have time for personal conversations, a discussion and announcement period regarding projects and funding in California botany, and an open forum. No fee required but please register for this ticketed event. Monday, August 2 Noon to 1:30pm

TE-05 Paleobotanical Section Banquet

Join us for the (free) Paleo-Section Mixer 6:00 PM-7:00 PM...and then stay for the banquet which includes dinner from 7:00-8:00 followed by the semi-annual Paleobotanical Section Auction. The auction includes silent auction and live auction components, and uses the proceeds from the sale of items ranging from Paleobotanical literature, to memorabilia, to good natured fun to support student involvement in the Section. The mixer is free the Banquet tickets are $50.00.

TE-09 Economic Botany and Historical Section Dinner

BSA Economic Botany and Historical section members and others are invited to have dinner and hear news of the Sections. Dinner follows the afternoon Free Field Trip to the Brown Library - 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm - $45.00

TE-06 Kaplan Memorial Lecture Fund Dinner

This is the return of a successful event last year. It follows the Development and Structure Society mixer but is open to all meeting attendees. Games, entertainment, auction and raffle will contribute to joyous mood. A portion of the ticket will be contributed to the Kaplan Memorial Lecture Fund established in 2008. 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm - $45.00


TE-10 American Society of Plant Taxonomists Banquet

Mixer and Dinner, awards and presentation by incoming ASPT President Dick Olmstead followed by the famous ASPT Auction! To be held at the historic Biltmore Hotel in the Grand Ballroom.
